Didi Autonomous Driving kicks off a 24/7 fully unmanned Robotaxi trial in Guangzhou’s Huangpu district, allowing app users to book driverless rides starting December 1, 2025.
December 1, 2025 – Following its role as the official autonomous driving provider for the 15th National Games, Didi Autonomous Driving has initiated a 24/7 fully unmanned Robotaxi trial in select Guangzhou demonstration areas. Starting today, users can book rides via the Didi app and have a chance to experience completely driverless autonomous travel.
According to official details, Didi provided shuttle services in key central stadium areas during the Games. This trial represents a new milestone in Didi's service capabilities.
The operational zone is in the Huangpu core living circle, covering high-frequency spots like metro stations, schools, malls, office buildings, and residential communities. Service runs Monday to Sunday, 24 hours a day. Users can summon unmanned vehicles through the Didi app’s autonomous driving entrance or select both autonomous and ride-hailing options when entering start/end points on the home screen. The system intelligently matches vehicles based on pickup/drop-off locations, road conditions, dispatch distance, and local supply-demand.
