DJI Expected to Release New FPV Goggles and O3 Air Unit

A person familiar with the matter said that DJI, a Shenzhen-based drone firm, will release a new model in its Air lineup in the near future, along with a new FPV goggles with Lite in its official name, according to a report by Chinese media outlet DealsDrone on November 15.

Leaked information shows that the new first-person view (FPV) Lite glasses are a lower-priced version of the DJI Goggles 2. It will not include the touchpad on the side of the gadget nor the head-tracking function, but is expected be a mass-produced and customized product for FPV users.

DJI Goggles 2 were released in August this year. They adopt Micro-OLED display technology, and are equipped with two 1080p screens. Weighing only 290 grams, the product is 30% lighter than DJI FPV Goggles V2. The material is soft and fits well with a user’s face, which greatly improves problems with light leakage.

Compared with the previously launched DJI FPV V2, DJI Goggles 2 adds head tracking functionality, and the visual field can change with the rotation of the head, thus realizing somatosensory control.

The product supports diopter adjustment from 200 degrees of hyperopia to 800 degrees of myopia; For users with astigmatism or outside the original diopter correction range, they can wear DJI Goggles 2 by matching their own lenses suitable for personal vision and putting them into the attached vision correction glasses frame. It is also equipped with Wi-Fi wireless screen projection function and supports mainstream audio-visual software using DLNA protocol.

In addition, DJI launched certified refurbished products for the first time a few days ago, which currently includes DJI Mini 3 Pro and DJI Pocket 2, and are temporarily available in the Chinese mainland. On November 2, it also released DJI Mavic 3 Classic UAV.
