DJI Releases Its Lightest and Smallest Drone DJI Neo

On September 5th, DJI officially launched the new generation DJI Neo handheld Vlog drone, with the standard version (without a remote control) priced at 1299 yuan, and the Fly More Combo priced at 2299 yuan (including a remote control, three batteries, a two-way charging hub, and propeller guard).

According to the introduction, the DJI Neo weighs only 135 grams, focusing on simplicity and ease of use, making it the lightest and smallest drone DJI has produced to date.

In terms of specifications, this drone features a 1/2 inch image sensor, allowing for 12 million pixel photo capture. It comes with 22GB of built-in storage, which can hold about 40 minutes of 4K/30fps video or 55 minutes of 1080p/60fps video, with a flight time of approximately 18 minutes.

DJI uses infrared and monocular vision positioning solutions, allowing the Neo to hover steadily in the air, even with level 4 winds, and it supports automatic return home.

This product is equipped with AI smart algorithms that support AI intelligent tracking and provide adaptations for scenarios such as cycling, skateboarding, mountaineering, and hiking, supporting various intelligent shooting modes including distance tracking, circling, and ascension.

It also supports Wi-Fi direct connection to mobile phones, allowing control via the DJI Fly App without the need for a remote controller, and enables settings for tracking angles and distances within the app.

Additionally, the app supports voice wake-up, and upon recognizing the wake word “Hey Fly,” it will awaken Neo and activate voice control, allowing Neo to execute your flight commands up to a distance of 50 meters.

The new device can be used with DJI RC-N3, N2, or RC 2, supporting a transmission distance of up to 10 kilometers. It can also be paired with the Goggles 3 and the Motion Controller 3, offering experiences such as FPV flying and indoor flying.
