Drone Firm DJI to Hold Product Launch Event on May 10
On Thursday, Shenzhen-based drone firm DJI announced plans to hold a new product launch event at 21:00 on May 10, under the slogan “A Twist in the Plot.”
According to previous leaks, the DJI Mini 3 Pro UAV is expected to be unveiled at this event, and a tipster with web username “Jasper Ellens” has also provided high-resolution images of the new product.
The pictures show the body and accessories of the DJI Mini 3 Pro. It is also reported that the machine’s maximum speed is 57 km/h. Ellens said that the DJI Mini 3 Pro stand-alone version is about 739 euros, and 4,799 yuan in China.
The major new functions and specifications of the DJI Mini 3 Pro are as follows: It weighs less than 249g, and after optimization, it features a larger propeller and stronger obstacle avoidance system, longer flight time and greater safety.
The Mini 3 Pro can fly for a maximum of 34 minutes, and 47 minutes with a smart flight battery. It features a 1/1.3 inch CMOS photosensitive element and an f/1.7 aperture lens, supporting direct output HDR images and straight shooting.
The product redesigns the shock-proof pan/tilt function and thus features a larger rotation range in low angle and vertical shooting. The Mini 3 Pro also has an active obstacle detection function, and forward, backward and downward dual vision sensors, thus having a larger detection range and higher security. The Advanced Pilot Assistance System (APAS 4.0) detects objects in the flight path in real time and is capable of avoiding any obstacles.
