Ember AI, founded by a former Baidu core executive, has secured a multi-million-dollar angel round to scale its multimodal interactive AI knowledge agents across education, enterprise, and Southeast Asia.
December 16, 2025 — Ember AI, a global pioneer in multimodal interactive knowledge agents, announced it has raised a multi-million-dollar angel round led exclusively by Yunshi Capital, with Zhulang Capital serving as its long-term exclusive financial advisor.
The fresh funding will be used to accelerate R&D for Ember AI’s multimodal interactive knowledge agent platform, deepen its presence in the education and enterprise markets, and expand its AI Tutor product across Southeast Asia.

Ember AI was founded by Chai Qiaozi, one of the former “three core leaders” at Baidu and a key figure behind nationally adopted products such as Baidu Wenku. The core team brings together veterans from Baidu, Tencent, and TAL Education Group, with deep expertise spanning product, operations, and engineering.
At the heart of Ember AI’s offering is a multimodal interactive knowledge agent platform that transforms fragmented content into immersive, interactive courses featuring AI digital avatar instructors. In university deployments, AI-powered interactive courses built on the platform have achieved completion rates exceeding 80%, significantly outperforming traditional MOOCs.
In just over a year since its founding, Ember AI has reached over USD 1 million in revenue and is already profitable. Its customers include multiple top-tier Chinese universities (Project 985/211) as well as enterprises such as Lenovo and Coca-Cola. Internationally, the company has successfully launched in Southeast Asia, with overseas business contributing more than 25% of total revenue.
