Equipped With Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, Xiaomi Civi 2 Is Coming Soon

On September 20, Hu Xinxin, Product Manager of Xiaomi’s Civi brand, posted on Chinese social platform Weibo that the Xiaomi Civi 2 smartphone is “coming soon.” Moreover, the smartphone model information shown beside this post indicates that Hu is using the new Xiaomi smartphone model.

Earlier, a digital tipster on Weibo named “Digital Chat Station” wrote that the Xiaomi Civi 2, codenamed “Ziyi”, is equipped with MIUI v13.0. 1.0. SLLCNXM system based on Android 12. This model is expected to see new breakthroughs in design while continuing the thin and light features of its previous generation’s models.

The tipster also broke the news that the Xiaomi Civi 2 smartphone will adopt a FHD+ 120Hz Chinese-made flexible screen, which supports eye protection dimming, and a selfie fill light. The model will also have updates in fast charging and imaging. Finally, the device will be equipped with Qualcomm 7 Gen 1 chipset.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor was released in May this year. It is based on Samsung’s 4nm technology and includes four Cortex-A710 cores with a dominant frequency of 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A510 cores. With an Adreno 662 GPU, it provides 20% faster performance than its predecessor. It is also equipped with an X62 5G modem, which can achieve a 4.4 Gbps download speed and dual 5G connection. The processor supports WiFi-6E and Bluetooth 5.3 as well as Snapdragon Sound and aptX. It supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

In the second half of last year, Xiaomi launched its Civi model, which was called the most beautiful smartphone of Xiaomi at that time. It was only 6.98 mm thick and weighed 166g. It adopted a velvet AG process for the first time. Compared with the traditional AG process, the velvet AG process has a shining diamond-like effect, which will have a more shining visual effect under lights. Besides, the blue and pink colorways also have gradient effects.

For reference, Xiaomi Civi has a 6.55-inch curved OLED screen, equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor, with a 32MP selfie camera in front and a 64MP AI trio-camera in rear. Its price started from 2599 yuan ($370).

In terms of battery life, in the 6.98 mm thick smartphone, Xiaomi Civi has a 4500mAh high-capacity battery, which supports 55W wired fast charging. It can charge from 0 to 100% in 45 minutes. Xiaomi said that this smartphone would have the longest battery life of Xiaomi smartphones released this year.
