EV Makers Seize Attention at 2019 Shanghai Auto Show
2019 Shanghai Auto Show kicked off today with various carmakers showcasing their latest technology, concept cars and new vehicles ready for launch.
One particular category that attracted great attention at the show, or rather in the Chinese market in recent years, is electric vehicles (EV). Both international and homegrown brands have brought in new models for their debut at the largest auto show in the world.
Chinese EV maker Xpeng Motors revealed a new all-electric coupe dubbed P7 in Shanghai. As a medium-to-large EV, the P7 claims to be able to reach 100 km/h in 4 seconds and have a 600 km NEDC range. The model, powered by Xavier, also uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820A chip and aims to offer L3 autonomous driving. Pre-orders opened today and delivery is expected to start in Q2 next year.
