From October 18-21, the 2025 Chery Global Innovation Conference unfolded under the theme "Innovation · Leading the World." A key highlight was the EXEED ET5, the world's first production vehicle equipped with Horizon's HSD and Journey® 6P, undergoing its first public assisted driving tests. The demonstration validated the maturity of Horizon's urban assisted driving technology and showcased EXEED's leadership in premium intelligent features.
During real-world urban drives, the ET5 demonstrated exceptionally low system latency, strong defensive driving capabilities, smooth vehicle control, and continuous evolution. The single-stage, end-to-end architecture enabled millisecond-level responses to traffic lights and quick reactions to sudden hazards. The system displayed human-like judgment, proactively identifying risks and executing precise maneuvers.
Horizon HSD's integrated software-hardware advantages, built upon the flagship Journey 6P, deliver enhanced safety, efficiency, and comfort through its advanced "single-stage end-to-end + reinforcement learning" architecture. It achieved 100% consistency in full-scenario testing, widely praised as the "most human-like assisted driving system."
Dr. Yu Kai, Founder and CEO of Horizon Robotics, spoke at the conference, stating, "Smart driving is at a turning point from technological exploration to mass adoption." He emphasized Horizon's commitment to collaboration, aiming to make advanced assisted driving accessible to all. This deep partnership with Chery, spanning multiple brands, is set to expand with more HSD-equipped models following the ET5's November 2025 launch, accelerating the era of universal smart driving.
