Huawei takes its flagship foldable Mate X7 to global markets with a higher price and a faster-than-usual international rollout.
On December 12, 2025, Huawei held a global launch event in Dubai, unveiling several new products including the Mate X7 foldable smartphone, FreeClip 2, and MatePad 11.5 S. The Mate X7, as the centerpiece of the lineup, drew the most attention.
The global version of the Mate X7 comes in a single 16GB + 512GB configuration and is priced at €2,099「2463USD」. This makes it €290「340USD」more expensive than the Chinese Collector’s Edition with the same storage, which sells for the equivalent of €1,809「2123USD」.

In terms of specifications, the overseas Mate X7 does not list its processor model and ships with EMUI 15.0. In contrast, the Chinese version features the Kirin 9030 Pro across the lineup and even offers 20GB of RAM on the Collector’s Edition.
The device includes a 6.49-inch outer display (2444×1080) and an 8-inch inner display (2416×2210), both supporting 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. Its camera system consists of a 50MP RYYB main camera with variable aperture alongside three additional lenses.
Inside, the Mate X7 houses a 5,600mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. It also offers IP58 + IP59 dust and water resistance.
Notably, the overseas launch comes just two weeks after the phone’s release in China—breaking Huawei’s long-standing pattern of waiting several months before bringing major flagship devices to international markets.
