Forbes: WiFi Master Key, the Only Non-BAT Affiliated App Among China’s Top 10 Apps
The Russian edition of Forbes magazine wrote an article on March 8, 2018, about the emergence of tech start-ups and unicorn companies in China’s internet industry.
The article pointed out that WiFi Master Key is the only independent app among the top 10 most popular apps in China that is not affiliated with any of the Chinese internet giants – Baidu, Alibaba and Tencent (collectively known as BAT).
A large share of the most popular apps in the top 10 list is noted to be affiliated with the BAT. Particularly, apps affiliated with Tencent make up half of the list while apps affiliated with Alibaba took another three spots.
The top 10 most popular apps in China listed includes WeChat, QQ, Alipay, Taobao, KuGou, WiFi Master Key, Baidu, QQ browser, Weibo and Tencent Video.
WiFi Master Key developed by LinkSure Network is a leading free internet service platform that enables free Internet access worldwide through peer-to-peer wi-fi hotspots sharing, mobile network operator partnerships and its own wi-fi hotspots sharing. The company, LinkSure Network, has never accepted investment from any one of the BAT companies, which makes it a very rare non-affiliated minority among China’s leading internet enterprises.
