NemoVideo, founded by former TikTok creative leaders, has raised nearly $10M led by IDG to build an AI-native video-creation Agent platform.
Waves has learned exclusively that NemoVideo, a video-creation Agent platform founded by former TikTok Creative team leads Jin Li and Evy Liu, has closed nearly $10 million across its Pre-A and angel rounds. The Pre-A round was led solely by IDG Capital, while angel investors include Jingqiu Capital, Tidon, WeLight Capital, and former 01.AI co-founder Xuemei Gu. Palm Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor for the Pre-A round.
NemoVideo began with a "viral-video replication Agent" targeted at video creators, with the long-term goal of building a full video-creation Agent marketplace and community. The vision: allow creators to build, store, and trade their own specialized video-making Agents, and automate substantial parts of their content-production workflow. The founders describe the eventual product as "the Canva of video creation—AI-native and community-driven."
The founding team brings deep experience in global content products. • Jin Li previously led creator-tool products at TikTok Creative and later worked on multimodal innovation at 01.AI. • Evy Liu, with degrees from Peking University and Cambridge, helped launch Mobike's international expansion from 0 to 1 and later led global creative-product growth at TikTok. • Archer Zhang, former Managing Director at Source Code Capital, has also joined as a co-founder.
NemoVideo currently focuses on overseas e-commerce content creators and freelance video editors, using AI to enhance ideation, rough-cut workflows, and structural editing speed. Some creators report increasing their daily output from three videos to more than ten after adopting the tool.
The product remains in beta, with upcoming upgrades including more non-linear creation paths and a stronger "Anything In, Video Out" automated-editing pipeline. The business model currently combines subscription fees with token-based usage pricing; in the future, the company plans to introduce performance-based pricing, allowing creators to set prices for their own Agents inside the community marketplace.
NemoVideo's team has grown to just over ten members and is actively hiring senior engineers and growth specialists. According to the founders, the financing came together within a few days, driven by investors' confidence in the team's execution and their understanding of the global video-creator ecosystem.
