Game Developer miHoYo May Soon Release New Product “Zenless Zone Zero”

Recently, some gamers had discovered that the official account of the new game Zenless Zone Zero developed by the Chinese game developer miHoYo has been registered on several online platforms, including Weibo, WeChat, Bilibili and others. Gamers noted the 2D style of the avatar. The new game is expected to be released in near future.

This title has been widely tracked by the game industry since December 2021. It can be seen from industrial and commercial information inquiry platforms such as Qichacha that Shanghai Jiaozhai Technology Co., Ltd., a company owned by miHoYo’s CEO Liu Wei, has applied for several trademark registrations for Zenless Zone Zero both in English and Chinese.

Founded in 2011, miHoYo is a tech firm deeply involved in animation culture. The company’s most famous title Genshin Impact has grown into one of the world’s most profitable mobile games attracting global players to spend $1 billion on the game in just half a year. With a strong financial position, miHoYo seems to be about to enter several tracks. As for other new games, miHoYo is currently testing a 3D turn-based RPG game Honkai: Star Rail.

In addition, miHoYo released a recruitment announcement through LinkedIn last November. The company will set up a 100-person studio in Montreal, Canada. In the next two years, a team of 100 employees will be formed which will be miHoYo’s first development team in North America. The new title will be a 3A-level open-world adventure shooting game.

As an R&D center, the Canadian team will work closely with the global development team to focus on creating a new AAA open-world action adventure game, featuring shooting gameplay in a vivid supernatural world setting.
