Geely Announces First 7nm Car-Grade Digital Cockpit SoC, To Be Mass-Produced Soon
On Sunday, Geely Auto Group held the “Smart Geely 2025” event in Hangzhou. At the event, the company announced the first self-developed SoC “Intelligent Cockpit Chip” built with 7-nm technology, the new powertrain technology brand “Leishen Powertrain” and the “Smart Geely 2025” strategy. The chip will be mass-produced soon.
In 2023, the company will launch the first 7-nm, high computing power autonomous driving chip. It planned to launch an autonomous driving chip built with 5-nm technology in 2025, and master the Level 5 full driving automation technology to realize the commercial application of Level 4 driving automation.
In addition, Geely plans to complete the networking of 72 IoT communication satellites and 168 navigation enhanced LEO constellations in 2026, so as to realize “removal of all blind spots” in global telecommunications and centimeter-level high-precision positioning technology.
Geely Auto Group also released the powertrain technology brand “Leishen Powertrain” and launched its modular intelligent hybrid platform, “Leishen Hi·X.”
As an integral part of the company’s target for 2025, the product “Leishen Powertrain” includes the Leishen Hi·X hybrid platform, high-efficiency transmission and engine. The Leishen Hi·X can be applied into FHEVs, PHEVs and REEVs.
According to the plan, Leishen Hi·X hybrid system will be installed in Geely’s flagship ‘Star’ series, and then be equipped on more than 20 models of Geely and Lynk & Co over the next three years.

Moreover, Geely Auto Group also released the “Smart Geely 2025” strategy. The company plans to invest 150 billion yuan ($23.42 billion) in R&D in the next five years to launch more than 30 new intelligent new energy products.
Geely expects to achieve an annual sales volume of 3.65 million by 2025, including 650,000 of Zeekr and 3 million of Geely Group. It also expects overseas sales to reach 600,000. According to the plan, by 2025, the sales volume of new energy vehicles of Geely Auto Group will reach 900,000, accounting for 30%. With the addition of Zeekr, the overall sales volume of Geely new energy vehicles will exceed 40%.
Geely predicts that its total carbon emissions will be reduced by 25% by 2025 and carbon neutrality will be achieved by 2045.
