Geely’s Zeekr Completes 50,000th Unit of 001 Electric Coupe

Zeekr, a high-end intelligent electric vehicle brand owned by Chinese automotive company Geely, announced on October 12 that the 50,000th unit of its Zeekr 001, a luxury electric coupe, was completed at the Ningbo Hangzhou Bay Zeekr Smart Factory. In less than one year, the brand has set a record for early production speed among Chinese new electric vehicle brands.

According to delivery data previously released by the firm, 8,276 units of the Zeekr 001 were delivered in September, an increase of 15.5% from the previous month, and the cumulative delivery exceeded 45,000 units, setting a new record for monthly delivery volume. At the same time, a total of 20,464 Zeekr 001 units were delivered in the third quarter of 2022, an increase of 90% from the previous month.

It is worth mentioning that, as the first mass production model from Zeekr, the 001 will become the world’s first mass production model with CATL’s Kirin battery and pure electric cruising range exceeding 1,000 km.

As of September 30, 2022, there were 200 stores under the direct operation line of Zeekr, and it is expected that there will be more than 260 stores by the end of this year.

For the construction of a charging system, Zeekr’s network is also advancing in an orderly manner. As of September 30, 2022, Zeekr had 512 self-built charging stations in 102 cities across the country (excluding special-use stations), including three types of charging stations with different powers to meet the needs of users in different scenarios. The third-party charging network has covered more than 350,000 charging devices in 335 cities across the country.

In addition, Zeekr will launch its second model, the Zeekr 009, on November 1, and it has unveiled the exterior and interior appearance of the new car. The car is a pure electric luxury MPV model, which will be built based on SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform, and its cruising range under NEDC conditions may exceed 700 km.
