Genki Forest’s Senior Executive Liu Zhen Leaves Company

Sina Finance learned from insiders on Thursday that Liu Zhen, who has in charge of Genki Forest’s overseas business, had left the company in early March.

Genki Forest has confirmed that the news is true. “Since joining Genki Forest, Liu Zhen has led the team to explore the global overseas market and achieved better-than-expected results. We understand and respect her choice to leave the company for personal reasons,” the firm said in an announcement.

Liu Zhen graduated from the Law School of University of California, Berkeley and Renmin University of China, and has worked as a lawyer in Silicon Valley for 10 years. Liu first made a public appearance as the strategic head of Uber China. After Uber China was acquired by Chinese ride-hailing giant DiDi, Liu joined tech giant ByteDance as a senior vice president in 2016. In December 2020, Liu joined Genki Forest as president.

Genki Forest, established in 2016, is an innovative beverage brand in China. It started to explore the overseas market in 2019, and obtained the Healthier Choice Symbol from Singapore’s Health Promotion Bureau (HPB). At present, its products are sold in more than 40 overseas markets such as the United States, Canada, Britain, and France.
