Haomo.AI and NavInfo Reach Strategic Cooperation Agreement

Beijing-based automated driving company Haomo.AI signed a strategic cooperation agreement on September 5 with NavInfo, a Chinese digital map developer. Under this partnership, the two sides will jointly carry out in-depth exploration in the fields of intelligent driving, digital map services and the data closed-loop field.

At the same time, the two companies will set up a joint innovation laboratory for product and technology R&D in a forward-looking manner, and accelerate the implementation of cooperative projects through innovation of technologies, products and models.

Haomo.AI has previously launched its HPilot intelligent assisted driving system for passenger cars. So far, this product has achieved mass production of two generations and has been installed in nearly 10 mass-produced passenger models of Great Wall Motor, including the DHT-PHEV lidar version of WEY Mocca. “By the end of 2022, the intelligent driving assistance system is expected to be installed in more than 30 vehicle models,” says the firm. Haomo.AI also disclosed that its HPilot 3.0 will be officially mass-produced within this year.

In the field of last-mile automatic delivery logistics vehicles, the second-generation automatic logistics vehicle “Xiaomotuo” was launched by the firm in April this year, which is the first 100,000-yuan ($14,448) automatic logistics vehicle in the industry targeting the commercial market.

On the other hand, NavInfo focuses on intelligent full-stack solutions for intelligent city and vehicle technology, and has transformed into an intelligent travel tech firm. It has advantages in intelligent driving solutions, high-precision digital maps, positioning and other business fields. On August 15, its semi-annual financial report for 2022 showed that the business ecology with intelligent cloud, driving, vehicle cockpit and chips as the core has taken initial shape.

NavInfo will provide a leading Chinese car company with solutions for L2 automated driving assistance systems for several models that have been mass-produced and released to the market in the following five years. The solution supports adaptive cruising, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking and other functions. In addition, the firm signed a technical development contract with Alpine Electronics China for a panoramic parking imaging system project. It will also cooperate with Pony.ai and other industry partners to jointly create a richer ecology.
