Honor Magic V Foldable Smartphone Unveiled
On Monday, Chinese smartphone brand Honor released a new promo video for its latest flagship device: the Magic V foldable smartphone. This smartphone adopts the method of opening and closing left and right and folding inward. The phone is thin and light and has a large outer screen.
The hinge design of the Honor Magic V appears to adopt a complex mechanical structure, while the screen looks like a waterdrop when completely folded. The external screen is curved while the camera is centered on the device as made noticeable by its notch.
When closed, the inner screens are held tightly together while the camera module rises slightly above the rest of the camera’s frame.
The panels of Magic V are expected to be provided by BOE and Visionox. The internal main folding screen measures 8 inches while the external screen is 6.5 inches. The screen will still employ an ultra-thin flexible glass (UTG) cover.
Zhao Ming, CEO Honor, said earlier that the Magic V design will be amazing, and its flagship large screen will be quite the attraction. This smartphone is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and will be officially released in January 2022.
