Honor Play5 Vitality Edition Officially Released

Chinese smartphone maker Honor officially released its Honor Play5 Vitality Edition today. The new device supports 66W SuperCharge fast charging technology and is equipped with a 6.67-inch FullHD+ 120Hz screen.

The device ships with 8GB RAM and offers an additional 2GB of virtual RAM support. The phone also supports smart storage expansion technology, making interactions fast and smooth. The price of the 8GB RAM+128GB version is 1799 yuan ($282), and the price of the 8GB RAM+ 256GB version is 1999 yuan. There are two colors available: Aurora Blue and Midnight Black.

In terms of charging safety, the Honor Play5 Vitality Edition adopts Honor’s self-developed single-cell dual-circuit technology, which not only solves the problem of aging differences between dual-cells, but also increases battery capacity by 10% and battery life by 5%.

The Honor Play5 Vitality Edition screen offers an intelligent refresh rate of 120Hz. And, for several different uses, the intelligent dynamic frame rate adjustment system of the phone will automatically adjust the refresh rate to a more appropriate setting.

For example, when the user is browsing Weibo, WeChat and Toutiao, the refresh rate would be adjusted higher to 120Hz to ensure a smooth experience; but if the user is reading e-books or looking through pictures, the refresh rate would be automatically switched to 60Hz, thus extending the battery life.

The Honor Play5 Vitality Edition is also equipped with a 64MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor, as well as AI intelligent optimization function.
