Honor to Launch Products at IFA 2022 in Berlin
Honor, a Chinese smartphone brand, announced via Twitter on July 28 that it will launch a series of products at IFA 2022, a major consumer electronics trade show in Germany to be held on September 2.
Honor says that its slogan this time is “Embracing the Connected Future,” which is expected to be related to multi-device interconnection. Promotional material shows products including smartphones, laptops, TWS headphones, and even a house, meaning that intelligent home functions are likely to be introduced.
On the evening of July 21, Honor held a new product launch event in China, during which it released a new computer, tablet, smart screen and others. After the launch event, George Zhao, CEO of Honor, said that the company will bring more cross-device functions. Therefore, at IFA 2022, Honor will likely bring forward other new products supporting cross-device connection.

Data analysis agency Canalys released the shipment data of China’s smartphone market in the second quarter on July 29. The report showed that the smartphone market in Chinese mainland was weak in the second quarter of 2022, with only 67.4 million units shipped, down 10% year-on-year. Honor occupies the second place in the market with shipment of 13 million units.
This year is the first of Honor’s internationalization efforts. According to Zhao, the firm started its expansion of global markets in March this year. In key markets, the firm’s operating system and several newly released products have been launched in succession. The firm’s product series in the first half of 2022 has been basically completed.
