A recent screenshot of the game Temple Run showed “120fps beta test (Honor V40)” on the picture, revealing Honor V40’s screen information.
The V40 series will pack a 120Hz refresh rate, reportedly, with high definition display. Its touch sampling rate could be 300Hz, better than the highest available in the market.
The new lineup is rumored to sport a 6.72-inch, a hole punch curved screen design and 1080p resolution. Speakers and charging ports are placed at the bottom of the phone.
The new Honor V40 is expected to bring significant improvements in overall screen performance, and a faster touch response speed.
The 3C certification information confirms that it will be equipped with 66W fast charging.
As for the render, the new Honor V40 phone will allegedly adopt a rear camera module similar to a four-eye dial, in which the camera and flash are arranged in a circular module on the rear of the phone.
The screen will adopt a hyperboloid design, reportedly with an 88-degree curvature waterfall screen, joined by a dual selfie camera setup.
The size of the pill-shaped cut-out on the front is also decreased by 20%.
Honor has not yet officially announced the series.
Honor’s CEO Ming Zhao held a fan meeting last week and said Honor will launch a super flagship in the future, featuring Honor’s own Mate and P series.
He said at the meeting that becoming the top smartphone brand in China and the world is a personal pursuit, and that enterprises need to think about their value to society and technological advancement.
The independence from Huawei will rid Honor of prior baggage and limitations and will make its own contribution to China’s technological development just like Huawei.
