Chinese smartphone maker Honor announced today that its new X30 will be released on December 16th, the company’s eighth anniversary. Jiang Hairong, CMO of Honor China, spoke about the company’s success to date, saying: “In the past eight years, 90 million users around the world have chosen Honor X series. Today, Honor 3X still has more than 40,000 users.”

At the same time, Honor also launched a test for the X30, which would recruit 80 people to participate in the trial run from December 6th to December 20th.

The X Series is the longest running product series of the company. On December 16, 2013, Honor became an independent brand under Huawei and subsequently released the Honor 3X, the first of its X Series.
