Harrison Jiang, the chief marketing officer of Honor Device Co., Ltd. China, announced on July 8 that the new Honor X40i smartphone will be released soon, also publishing three promotional posters, one of which mentioned the slogan: “romantic as the universe.”
According to the new posters and rendering pictures previously revealed by bloggers, the Honor X40i will adopt a right-angle frame design and a straight screen.
In addition, Jiang said that the three posters corresponded to three new messages: acute angle, lens and NGC2237. Specifically, the acute angle should be the one formed by the intersection of the double-ring-camera on the back of the smartphone.
NGC2237 is a part of the Rosette Nebula, located in the Monoceros region of the Milky Way Galaxy, so some web users said that the device will be equipped with a Kirin processor, while others said that this may imply that the phone will adopt the matching colors of the Rosette Nebula.
It was claimed that the firm will hold a new product launch event this month, during which it will release a number of new products, including the Honor X40i, Honor Pad 8 and Honor Smart Screen TV X3 series.
The previous generation of the Honor X30i 5G smartphone was released in October last year, equipped with a Dimensity 810 chip. The Honor X30i adopts a 6.7-inch LCD punch-hole full screen with a 2388 × 1080 resolution and a 93.6% screen ratio, supporting a 90Hz refresh rate.
In terms of configuration, the model is equipped with MediaTek’s 810 5G chip, a built-in 4000mAh battery, supporting 22.5 W fast charging, GPU Turbo X and Link Turbo X technologies.
The model’s rear 48MP main camera, combined with another 2MP DOF lens and 2MP macro-lens, supports powerful functions for shooting night scenes. It also features intelligent multi-frame synthesis algorithms.
