Hozon Auto’s NETA S Opens for Sale, Prices Around $30k-$50k
Chinese electric car company Hozon Auto officially released its NETA S model on July 31, which is available in black, green and silver. Prices range from 199,800 yuan to 338,800 yuan ($29,610 – $50,210). The new model has begun reservations and will be delivered by the end of 2022.
Eight versions of the new model have been launched, namely three range-extended electric vehicles (REEV), with ranges of 1,160 km, three long-range rear-wheel drive versions of 715 km and two four-wheel drive race vehicles of 650 km.
The NETA S is a battery-powered mid-size sedan, with a length, width and height of 4980 mm, 1980 mm and 1450 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2980 mm. In terms of range, the model provides two power types: range-extended electric and pure electric. The total extended range under CLTC testing conditions is 1,160 km, and the range of the pure electric version under the test is 715 km.
In addition, the model is equipped with a brand-new self-developed Shanhai platform and features a 17.6-inch central control screen, a 12.3-inch co-pilot entertainment screen, the AR-HUD technology and full LCD dashboard.
The NETA S series models all features the intelligent assisted driving system TA Pilot 3.0, and can choose the latest TA Pilot 4.0. The new system applies Huawei’s MDC610 computing platform with a high computing power of 200TOPS, and it adopts hardware such as two solid-state laser radars, five millimeter-wave radars, 11 auxiliary driving cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, high-precision positioning units and HD-Maps. On the basis of TA PILOT 3.0, it can realize the NCP function, applying to various scenarios like high-speed driving, city settings, and parking.

In addition, the car is equipped with a 21-speaker sound field system, with a maximum output of 1216W, among which the headrest speaker will support independent sound source playback, creating an independent audio-visual environment that does not interfere with each other for the drivers and co-drivers.
