Huawei Adjusts Management, Ding Yun Appointed President of Enterprise BG
Chinese digital media firm Sohu reported on Friday that Huawei has recently issued an internal document appointing Ding Yun as the president of firm’s Enterprise Business Group (BG), succeeding Peng Zhongyang. At the same time, Ding Yun is still the president of the firm’s Carrier Network BG.
Huawei veteran Ding Yun graduated from China’s Southeast University and joined Huawei in 1996. He has served as the company’s product line president, global solution sales president, global marketing president, products and solutions president, and Carrier Network BG president.
Peng Zhongyang’s tenure as president of the Enterprise BG is not long. At the beginning of 2020, Huawei appointed Peng as president, and Yan Lida, the former president of the Enterprise BG, was transferred to become the president of the firm’s B-level National Management Department.
According to Huawei’s official website, Enterprise BG is the management and support organization for solutions, marketing, sales and services for enterprise customers.
Huawei’s Enterprise BG has been established for more than 10 years. By the end of 2020, Huawei had more than 30,000 partners in the world, among which 253 Fortune 500 companies have chosen Huawei as their digital transformation partner.
Facing the enterprise market, Huawei has created more than 100 solutions covering more than 10 industries such as smart cities, finance, energy, transportation and manufacturing, as well as Huawei’s products such as Huawei Cloud, intelligent IP network, all-optical ADN solutions, computing, data centers, and 5GtoB Suite.
According to the firm’s 2020 financial report, Huawei’s enterprise business has the fastest growth rate among the three main businesses, a revenue of 100.3 billion yuan ($15.73 billion), up 23% year-on-year. In the first half of 2021, its enterprise business is the only sector to achieve growth.
At the Huawei Global Analyst Summit on April 13, 2021, Chen Banghua, Vice President of Huawei Enterprise BG, the revenue of Huawei Enterprise BG in China exceeded $10 billion for the first time in 2020, and it will challenge the target of $20 billion in 2021, with an increase of 30%. “By 2025, Huawei Enterprise BG will strive to achieve the sales target of $50 billion.”
