Huawei Announces New Product Launch MWC, Forecasting New Foldable Mate Xs
Huawei announced through Weibo that new products to debut at MWC 2020 will be released on February 23. The announcement was accompanied by a teaser gif for the upcoming release.
The teaser photo features a man walking towards a gate formed by two carved walls, on the left says “1+8+n”. This could be a hint that more than one new product would be released, possibly involving a variety including smartphones, PCs, tablets, headphones, speakers, glasses, watches, smart screens, and other new technologies.
What’s also worth noting is the body of the poster resembles an unfurled foldable phone, suggesting that Huawei may unveil a new smartphone with foldable screen, the Mate Xs, at the event. Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group, previously revealed that the company will release a new folding screen phone in February this year, which will not only use the latest processor but also have a complete anklet design.
MWC (Mobile World Congress) Barcelona is world’s biggest event in the mobile industry. Due to the recent coronavirus outbreak, multiple companies including Amazon, Ericsson, Nvidia, LG, SONY had withdrew from the event. MWC’s organizer GMSA is also considering canceling the exhibition.
