HMS Core is a collection of Huawei open cloud service capabilities and other services, providing the tools for developers to build more sophisticated digital products with increased efficiency.
In addition to the account management, payment, analysis, cloud space, and game services that have been in operation for years, the HMS Core 4.0 added a slew of new features including machine learning, unified code scanning, short-range communication, online rapid authentication, location services, user identity and more. Many of these services also bring new features for developers to integrate Huawei’s core-end-cloud capabilities.
HMS Core provides open cloud-side core service capabilities, such as account, payment, push, and map. The current HMS Core Kit allows developers to access 24 HMS Core kits, 55 services, and 997 APIs.
At present, Huawei has more than 1.3 million registered developers worldwide, and the number of applications accessing HMS Core worldwide exceeds 55,000. The HMS is an important part of Huawei’s terminal 1 + 8 + N full-scenario intelligence strategy where “1” refers to the smartphones, “8” includes PC, tablet, TV, audio, glasses, watches, locomotives, and headphones, while “N” refers to mobile offices, smart homes, sports and health, audio-visual entertainment, and smart travel products.
