Huawei Launches Mate 30 Series, Vision TV and Watch GT 2
On September 19, Huawei held the Huawei Mate 30 series launch event in Munich, Germany.
In terms of color, the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro are available in Space Silver, Emerald Green, Cosmic Purple and Black. The Faux Leather Back Special Edition is available in orange and forest green colors.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro removes the physical volume button for the first time. The hypersurface OLED ring screen supports the side screen touch function. Users could adjust the volume by double clicking the side screen and rolling up and down.

In terms of cameras, the Mate 30 features a triple Leica lens and a 24 MP front-facing camera. The Huawei Mate 30 Pro features 40 MP wide-angle film lens, 40 MP super sensitive lens, 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a 3D depth of field lens.
The Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro use 4,200mAh battery and 4,500mAh battery respectively. They also support 40W wired fast charging and 27W wireless fast charging, as well as reverse charging. The charging speed is 3 times faster than the previous generation.
As for storage, the Huawei Mate 30 comes in 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM, while the Mate 30 Pro comes in 8GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM. The Huawei Mate 30 is priced at 799 euros (around 6264 yuan), the Pro is priced at 1099 euros, with the 5G version of the Mate 30 Pro priced at 1199 euros.
In addition to the release of the new Mate 30 series devices, Huawei also released the Watch GT 2, equipped with the Kirin A1 chipset. The Huawei Watch GT 2 keeps the classic round shape, with an integrated 3D glass design, high-resolution OLED screen, more watch faces, and a variety of straps available. Furthermore, the Huawei Watch GT 2 continues to be equipped with GPS and optical heart rate sensors, with two weeks of battery life. In addition, the Watch GT 2 is equipped with speakers and microphones, supporting Bluetooth calls and music playback, and can store up to 500 songs. In addition, Huawei also released the FreeBuds 3 wireless headset.
As for pricing, the 42mm size is priced at 229 euros and the 46mm size is 249 euros.
Also released at the event was the Huawei new Vision TV. According to Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei’s mobile business, the Vision TV is equivalent to a large-screen version of the smartphone. The screen is equipped with a 4K QLED panel, with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 100% NTSC color gamut.
There is an AI lens above the screen, which Huawei calls the AI-Eye. It is used for facial recognition, video calls and other functions. The product comes in three sizes, 55 inches, 65 inches, and 75 inches.
