Huawei Launches Metaverse Experience in Beijing

The metaverse experience activity jointly launched by Huawei and Beijing Shougang Park went online on Tuesday. Users can enter a new and colorful world by scanning a QR code in the park with their smartphones to enjoy the performance of the Mojia robot band and a cool virtual light show.

Users can also immerse themselves in a game experience by participating in AR group warfare games. Through futuristic elements such as steel equipment, three-dimensional space, spacecraft, intelligent machines, holographic advertisements, colorful lights, Huawei has built an immersive metaverse complex.

Along with the vigorous promotion by Beijing and Shijingshan District governments, Shougang Park is putting in some effort to build a science fiction industry cluster.

From June 2021, Hongse Dibiao, Beijing Hetu United Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Shougang Construction Investment Co., Ltd. cooperated to use space computing, AI, VR technology, and 5G to achieve a combination between the industrial remains of Shougang Park and the metaverse.
