Huawei Nova 9 SE and Other New Products to Be Launched on March 16
Shenzhen-headquartered telecommunications giant Huawei announced on Thursday that its new product launch conference will be held at 19:00 on March 16, Beijing time. The launch is expected to see the release of new smarthome products and other new devices. The poster for the event shows a metallic luminous ring, suggesting the attributes of the new products.
In addition, a new smartphone model Huawei nova 9 SE appeared on Huawei’s official website in China. The new model is the company’s first smartphone equipped with a 108MP camera, and is now accepting pre-orders through Huawei’s online mall. Reservations will continue until March 16.
According to Huawei’s online mall, the new device model is targeted at Vlogging and photography users. The device will be equipped with the HarmonyOS system. It supports 4G, and provides two storage versions of 8 GB + 128GB and 8 GB + 256GB, as well as three colors including black, white and blue. Users who pre-order will also be able to purchase a Huawei Band 4e for only 9.9 yuan ($1.57).
According to previous leaks, the Huawei nova 9 SE is equipped with four rear cameras featuring a 108MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide camera (112° FoV), 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone’s camera supports Super Night Shot, which takes multiple exposures and fuses them into one. The phone will also have a notch in the top center of the display with a 16MP front camera.

The Huawei nova 9 SE will be equipped with a 6.78-inch 1080 x 2388 resolution LCD screen with a 1.05 mm frame and glass covering the front and back. This model has a 4000mAh battery, supports 66W fast charging and also has fingerprint identification located on the side of the device.
In addition to a new smartphone, Huawei previously launched a new MatePad Paper e-ink tablet overseas, and it was expected to be released in China in mid-March. The MatePad tablet and P50E 4G smartphone model are also expected to be luanched at the upcoming product launch conference.
