Huawei P20 Plus: Notch Design and Invisible Fingerprint Identification
Huawei has recently released information on the P20 series to be launched in Paris, France on March 27. The P20 is similar in design to Apple’s iPhone X. The P20 Plus includes a notch on the screen, fingerprint identification, and Android 8.1 operating system.

According to firmware files obtained from Funkyhuawei.club and shared with XDA-Developers, the Huawei P20 Plus contains an Always On Display APK. The files also revealed cell phone battery capacity and firmware information. The Huawei P20 Plus has a built-in 4000mAh battery, and the P20 has a built-in 3320mAh battery. P20 firmware is based on the Android 8.1 system, named EMUI 8.1. Equipped with a high-capacity battery and the latest operating system, the P20 has an Always On Display feature and an OLED screen.
The Huawei P20 Plus (code-named Charlotte) looks extremely different from the P10. The P20 Plus has a 6-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio and a notch design, and three rear cameras arranged vertically in the upper left corner (dual camera + single camera). The cameras provide AI photography and are identical to those in the iPhone X. On the front of the Huawei P20 is a fingerprint identification module. This is not included in the P20 Plus, perhaps because Huawei has not yet developed in-display fingerprint sensor technology. Instead, Huawei uses a facial recognition system called Point Cloud Depth Camera, which competes against Face ID/Animoji (animated facial expressions) found in the iPhone X.
The Huawei P20 series is similar to the iPhone X in design, but this design is a common trend. The real highlights of this phone are the full-screen design, three Leica cameras, and 3D facial recognition technology. The phone will be unveiled on March 27 in Paris.
