Huawei P40 Series Coming Soon

Huawei will launch its latest P40 smartphone series on March 26. The smartphones released as part of the P series are among Huawei’s most high-end offerings. The P40 series will be equipped with a Kirin 990 5G chipset and run on the EMUI 10.1 operating system.

Last year’s P30 series came in two variants: the P30 and P30 Pro. However, according to internet rumors, there may be three models this year, namely the P40, P40 Pro, P40 Pro PE / P40 Pro+. The latter has recently been nicknamed “the emperor version” by Chinese netizens. At present, Huawei’s other premium smartphone Mate series is also composed of three models.

Known for its robust camera setups, the new P series will be equipped with a 6.1 inch screen, three rear cameras, a 50MP main camera and two supporting cameras. The P40 Pro will come with a 6.58-inch screen, four rear cameras, including a 3D ToF camera. The rumored “Emperor Edition” P40 Pro+ might pack a 6.7 inch screen, with a 3160×1440 resolution and five rear cameras, also including a 3D ToF lens.

Additionally, the Huawei P40 series might come with pre-installed HMS (Huawei Mobile Services). Earlier, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor released two phones with HMS: the Honor V30 Pro and 9X Pro. The Chinese telecom giant was forced to devise its own in-house mobile services network as Google banned the company from using Google Mobile Services last year.
