Featuring a 65-inch self-illuminating 4K OLED panel with a high screen ratio, the Smart Screen TV is the “big surprise” Huawei has been planning to showcase since the company entered the smart TV market last year.
The new TV adopts an ultra-thin body with a total thickness of 24.99 mm. Equipped with Huawei‘s latest self-developed Honghu 898 flagship chipset, the TV uses advanced multi-channel sensors to ensure a clear and smooth display as well as accurate image color.
The Smart Screen also comes with a 24MP ultra-wide-angle AI camera with HiSilicon AI chip built-in, which features gesture controls and video call functions. The sound department features 14 speakers which provide a 3D surround sound field.
The Huawei Vision X65 smart TV is priced at RMB 24,999 (USD 3,570), the most expensive terminal product for Huawei so far, and will go on sale in China on April 26. The company has not revealed plans for a global release.
Huawei has also released its flagship photography-focused P40 lineup in China. The most advanced series of Huawei smartphones was first announced on March 26 and are already available for purchase in Europe.
The launch event last night also offered VR experiences for watching live on Huawei VR Glass.
