Huawei to Launch Mate 50 Smartphone Series on September 6
On the morning of August 22, Chinese tech giant Huawei announced that its autumn launch conference for the Mate 50 smartphone series and other new products will be held on September 6, with the theme of “Breaking Dawn, Meeting at the Peak.”
Richard Yu, Executive Director and CEO of the Consumer BG, posted on social media that the Huawei Mate 50 series will finally debut after two years. “The Mate series is the reason why many consumers fall in love with Huawei smartphones, and carries the beliefs and hopes of many people. In these years, we have faced difficulties and constantly explored breakthroughs in technology, finally bringing you the annual flagship of the Huawei Mate 50 series.”
In early August, three Huawei smartphone models – code-named BNE-AL00, DCO-AL00 and CET-AL00 – obtained network access certificates from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The three models are expected to be the Huawei Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro and Mate 50 RS. According to the certificate information, none of the three devices support 5G, and they are dual-card dual-standby mobile phones equipped with the HarmonyOS operating system.
According to previously leaked information, Huawei is expected to launch the Mate 50e, Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro, Mate 50 RS and other models in the future. Apart from the Mate 50e, which is equipped with a Snapdragon 778G chipset, all others are equipped with an SM8425 (Snapdragon 8 Gen1 4G chipset).
