Huawei Unveils Several New Products in MateBook Series

Huawei’s new product launch event for its MateBook series was held on Monday. The event saw the release of the company’s MateBook 16s, MateBook D 16, MateBook 14, MateBook D 14, MateView SE, and a new wireless mouse.

The Huawei MateBook 16s is available to order in two colors – gray and silver, with a price range between 6,999 yuan to 9,999 yuan ($1,053 – 1,505). The laptop is 17.8 mm thick and weighs 1.99 kg. Its 2.5K touch screen has a screen ratio of 90% and 100% sRGB color space. The DeltaE value, according to official data, does not exceed one.

This latest addition to Huawei’s Matebook lineup features a world first as the model is based on the Intel Evo platform, which uses the top-of-the-line 14-core Core i9-12900H processor allowing the computer to clock in at around 5.0 GHz.

The heat management system of Huawei Matebook 16s features an efficient and stable heat conductive film, innovative air inlet channel design, two e-sports-level large-size fans, and more. It is also equipped with a 1080P full HD camera with a wide angle of 88°.

As one of the newest products the company has released in its MateBook D series, the MateBook D 16 is not only Huawei’s first large-screen high-performance lightweight notebook, but also Huawei’s first notebook adopting Metaline antenna technology.

Based on more than 30 years of research and design, Huawei has constructed a single, highly efficient antenna to integrate multiple frequency bands to give users access to stable Wi-Fi networks.

The Huawei MateBook D 16 is also equipped with a 16-inch large screen, a screen ratio of 90%, a narrow frame of 4.6 mm and 100% sRGB color space coverage.

In terms of performance, the Huawei MateBook D 16 is equipped with the 12th Gen Intel Core processor including the Core i7-12700H, which can be used for demanding calculations for data analysis, CAD, code compilation and multitasking.

The new laptop will also have a built-in 1080P wide-angle camera and four microphones, making it one of the better laptops for IT and finance workers, and even students.

The i5 version of the laptop will be available with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage and will be priced at 5,699 yuan, while the i7 version with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at 6,699 yuan.

The Huawei MateBook 14 is equipped with a 3:2 ratio 2K HD touch screen with 100% sRGB color space coverage. With the 12th Gen Intel Core processor, it is 15.9 mm thick and weighs 1.49 kg and will be priced between 6,099 yuan to 6,999 yuan.

At just 1.38 kg and 15.9 mm thick, the Huawei MateBook D 14 is all metal and equipped with a 14-inch eye protection screen and a newly upgraded 12th Gen Intel Core processor. This laptop has been built with those on the move in mind as its durable all-metal frame will be able to better handle the wear and tear of being moved from place to place. The laptop will be priced between 5,299 yuan and 5,999 yuan based on the different configurations available.

The new Huawei MateView SE is built with a narrow frame design, 92% screen ratio and a 23.8-inch IPS screen. The new monitor supports a unique e-book mode, which can present a paper-like display effect and reduce harm to the eyes when reading.

Further, the monitor is equipped with a new rotary lifting bracket, which is much more versatile for different applications. The price of the Huawei MateView SE with different brackets is priced at 799 yuan and 899 yuan.

The company also released a new version of its mouse. The new wireless mouse adopts an ergonomic design to fit the radian of the palm, supports 2.4 G wireless connection mode. In order to meet the requirements of multi-device connections, the wireless mouse will automatically read console information for DPI adaptations, allowing users to use it freely in different situations such as design, gaming and office work. The price of the new wireless mouse is 179 yuan.
