Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro to Be Released April 28
Leading Chinese telecommunications and consumer electronics firm Huawei announced Monday that it will launch the Watch GT 3 Pro on April 28, with the slogan “Sneak to Freedom at This Moment.”
It can be seen from an official promotional video for the product that, besides supporting IP68 and 5 ATM, the GT 3 Pro has achieved an important breakthrough in waterproof performance. It supports free diving up to a maximum depth of 30 meters in the ocean.
At present, there are many smart watches on the market supporting waterproof functions for normal life purposes, instead of deep-sea waterproof capabilities – this is largely because seawater conditions are more complicated.
Seawater is an electrolyte solution containing 3% salt. Chloride content accounts for 88% of this salt. With a pH value reaching about 8, seawater also contains a certain amount of oxygen. Impurities in the seawater such as sand and microorganisms can also cause serious damage to watches.
According to a recent leak, this watch will be equipped with Huawei’s HarmonyOS, supporting WeChat payment and message reply functions. The built-in sensors can detect a user’s wrist temperature while they remain still indoors, helping people better understand their physical condition.
According to digital blogger “Pengpeng Jun,” this watch, an upgraded version of the GT 3, seems specially designed for female consumers. Huawei will also launch a titanium alloy version more popular among males.
In addition to the smart watch, Huawei is expected to release more products on April 28, including foldable smartphone Mate Xs 2, Smart Screen V Pro, Band 7, and others.
