Huawei’s Upcoming Watch Buds Allow Headphones to Be Carried on Wrist

Richard Yu, Executive Director and CEO of Huawei’s Consumer BG, as well as CEO of its Intelligent Automotive Solution BU, released a promotional video for a new product on November 30, showing that the Chinese tech giant will soon launch a smartwatch with a flip design called “Watch Buds.” Yu wrote, “This product will show the last revolutionary breakthrough in Huawei’s wearable product structure design and will bring a new and convenient experience to users.”

Given the information from the promotional video and previous reports, the new product will be a highly innovative smartwatch. Huawei has creatively integrated wireless headphones into the watch body to realize the two-in-one design. The dial will display the power of the earphones in real time, and there is a button at the bottom of the watch. After pressing the button, the cover of the watch will automatically pop up, and the magnetic wireless earphone can be conveniently taken out.

More importantly, this design has not enlarged the volume of the watch. In this way, users no longer need to bring headphones or any extra charger. Chinese web users are also full of expectations for this novel product.

This product was originally scheduled to be unveiled at Huawei’s Winter New Product Launch Conference on December 2. However, on the evening of November 30, the company announced that this event was postponed, and the new release time is yet to be determined.
