IDC Recognizes 4Paradigm as Market Share Leader in Machine Learning Platforms

International market analysis firm IDC has recently released a report on the market share of artificial intelligence in the first half of 2021. In the machine learning category, Chinese AI startup 4Paradigm won the biggest market share for the fourth consecutive year.

IDC said that the machine learning platform market still maintained rapid growth in the first half of 2021, with a year-on-year increase of 101.8%. Although new vendors continue to join, the leading advantage of 4Paradigm in this field continues to expand.

The driving force of the market growth lies in the construction of middle AI platforms by traditional government and enterprise customers, and the continuous investment of manufacturers in technologies such as AutoML, which can reduce the threshold of machine learning. IDC predicted that in the next three to five years, new technologies represented by intelligent decision-making and AutoML will accelerate the exploration of more potential in the AI market, helping to bring about a more intelligent world.

In addition, IDC has closely analyzed China’s AI market during the first half of 2021, adding that the overall market size reached $2.18 billion, representing a growth rate of 42.2% compared with the same period last year. The digital transformation of industry and growing key technologies are main factors in the rapidly-developing AI market.

Lu Yanxia, associate research director for IDC China’s emerging technology research, said: “The ecology of the artificial intelligence industry is becoming more prosperous in a proper manner.
