Intelligence Chip Firm CIX Secures Financing Worth Tens of Millions of Dollars
CIX, a general intelligence chip company, announced that it has completed angel and angel+ rounds of financing totaling tens of millions of dollars, led by Qiming Venture Partners and followed by Sky9 Capital. The funds will be used to accelerate the research and development of products and market expansion.
Established in October 2021, CIX is committed to developing a general intelligence-based system compatible with the ARM instruction set, and providing one-stop solutions integrating chips and general intelligence. The company has strong technical accumulation in the fields of CPU cores R&D, SoC (System on Chip) and full-stack software development.
Ron Cao, Founder and Managing Partner of Sky9 Capital, issued the following statement: “Recently, the Apple M1 series, Nvidia Grace, Ampere and ARM’s new generation architecture have shown the great performance potential of ARM, and let us see the great opportunities generated by ARM’s CPU. Whether at a high-performance terminal or a data center, ARM’s CPU can provide the same or even higher performance than x86. In addition, it can adapt to various scenarios by providing more excellent system integration…CIX’s team is a top and senior technical team with an average experience of more than 20 years in the industry, and deep understanding of technology, products, market and ecology. We are full of confidence in the team and believe that CIX will become the leader in the industry.”
Sun Wenjian, CIX’s founder, said: “The development of general intelligence chips have come to a historic period of change. Under the policy of carbon neutrality and emissions peak, the world has an urgent expectation for computing with high energy efficiency ratio. At the beginning of its establishment, CIX was honored to be recognized by the industry and many top investment institutions. We are well aware that we are shouldering great mission and social responsibility. We will strive to become a first-class enterprise in the general intelligence industry.”
