iQOO 9 Series Smartphone Unveiled, Adopts Snapdragon 8 Gen1
On Wednesday, Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO released new smartphone series, the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro.
iQOO said that during the 618 shopping festival last year, it became the Top 2 smartphone brand in terms of online sales in China. It also became the official smartphone brand for the KPL competition in 2022.
The iQOO 9 series are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 mobile platform and a 4700mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. The charger is made of gallium nitride, weighing only 135g, making it much easier to carry.
The series are equipped with the OriginOS Ocean operating system which was unveiled by Vivo before. The game box feature was also upgraded, helping immerse players in the game without missing any important messages. The OS also ensures users’ privacy and safety.
In terms of heat dissipation, iQOO 9 packs a 3923 square millimeter heat dissipation plate and a VC liquid-cooled heat dissipation unit.
In terms of the screen, iQOO 9 comes equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and 120Hz refresh rate. The touch sampling rate offered in the device will be 360Hz with a 388 PPI. The iQOO 9 Pro packs a 6.78-inch AMOLED display coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 300Hz touch sampling rate with a 2k resolution display.
In terms of cameras, the iQOO 9 consists of a 50MP primary shooter, a 13MP ultra wide-angle shooter and a 12MP portrait shooter. The Pro version adds to that configuration with a new 150° fisheye wide-angle sub-main camera.

In addition, the iQOO 9 Pro is equipped with ultrasonic 3D fingerprint technology, which upgrades fingerprint recognition, entry speed and security.
Starting at 3,999 yuan ($628), the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro will be available to buy in three RAM+storage configurations.
