Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO held a press conference tonight, officially releasing the newest in its Neo 5S series of smartphones, including the Neo5S and Neo5 SE.
iQOO Neo5S sports a 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is bundled with a Snapdragon 888 SoC and features visual processing technology from Pixelworks under the hood. To ward off any heating issues, the Neo5S features an industry-first to join lanthanum and cerium rare earth elements of high thermal conductivity alloys to insulate the device. The phone’s thermal conductivity is up to 200% greater than the metal frames of previous models
In addition, the Neo5S is equipped with Vivo’s latest OriginOS Ocean system which should attract younger users with its feature-rich components.
Incorporating Pixelworks’ visual processor and introducing MotionEngine Technology makes it possible for users to enjoy a higher frame rate and an ultra-smooth gaming experience on nearly 20 popular mobile games, such as Glory of Kings, Game for Peace, Honkai Impact 3, Cross Fire, and others.
The iQOO Neo5S has successfully passed the KPL competition machine test certification, and has become the designated machine for the official competition of the 8th edition of the Honor of Kings University League.
The iQOO Neo5s adopts a 4500mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging. In terms of cameras, the phone has a triple-camera setup on the back with a 48MP primary camera alongside a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera.
There are three color options to choose from: Night Space, Sunset Canyon, and Orange Leap. The iQOO Neo5S is priced at RMB 2699 ($423) for 8GB+128GB, RMB 2899 for 8GB+256GB, and RMB 3199 for 12GB+256GB.
