JD Retail Announces New Executives
36 Kr reported on Thursday that JD Retail has adjusted its personnel, appointing Feng Yi, former president of Dashang Super Omni-channel Business Group, as president of its Fashion Home Business Group and who will now directly report to Xu Lei, CEO of JD Retail. Meanwhile, Zhao Yingming, the former president of Fashion Home Business Group, will report to Feng Yi instead.
Feng joined JD.COM in 2014 and had previously served as Vice President of Wal-Mart China and Vice President of Tencent E-Commerce. Liu Lizhen has been appointed as the new President of Dashang Super Omni-channel Business Group. Liu worked under Feng as the general manager of JD’s Consumer Goods Division. Liu joined JD.COM in 2011 and was responsible for maternal and childhood products, drinks, and dry cargos.
Dashang Super Omni-channel Business Group was established in April last year, comprising the consumer goods business division, 7FRESH and other businesses. JD.COM previously stated that the main growth in the future lies in this very sector.
She has set up extensive offline outlets (convenience stores, supermarkets, department stores, etc.), and has realized the fastest delivery, enabling retailers to have goods delivered within thirty minutes of a customer’s order payment. This strategy is now the main weapon JD. COM has in the fight against rivals such as Meituan, ele.me and FRESHIPPO.

Before joining JD.COM in 2017, Zhao Yingming, former President of Fashion Home Business Group, served as deputy general manager of Chengdu Wangfujing (Southwest Region) and Assistant to the President of Wangfujing Group, and succeeded Hu Shengli as president of the Fashion Home Business Group in April 2019. Zhao’s ascension hasn’t worked smoothly in the past two years as another source has informed 36 Kr that Zhao may leave JD.COM in the near future.
