JD Technology & Rokid unveil JoyGlance: smart-glasses shopping you control by looking and speaking—glance to find, voice to pay.
On Oct. 21, 2025, JD Technology has partnered with AR company Rokid to introduce JoyGlance, a shopping agent built for smart glasses that lets users point the glasses’ camera at a product, find the same or similar items online, and add them to cart hands-free. JoyGlance will debut on Rokid’s smart-glasses lineup in November, with checkout and payment features scheduled to go live in January 2026, the companies said.
To address payment security, JoyGlance uses a “speech recognition + voiceprint” scheme the partners describe as “financial-grade,” claiming stronger protection than traditional passwords or fingerprint authentication. The system fuses multimodal biometrics and lets users set a voice passphrase, which is then verified together with the speaker’s voiceprint for two-factor confirmation.
The launch frames smart-glasses as a new entry point for camera-first commerce: identify an item in the real world, surface matches from JD’s catalog, and complete the purchase without taking out a phone—once payments are enabled.
