December 9 – At the 2025 Influential Entrepreneurs Annual Conference, Kai-Fu Lee, CEO of 01.AI and Chairman of Sinovation Ventures, predicted that AI Agents will fundamentally reshape how companies are built and operated, likening the future of entrepreneurship to "assembling building blocks."
Lee stated that the true revolution of AI Agents lies not merely in creating new tools, but in their ability to restructure organizations and enhance efficiency. He envisions a future where companies are increasingly composed of AI Agents, with a CEO managing a growing portfolio of these digital workers. A key driver, he noted, is the rapidly declining cost of AI inference, which will make Agents progressively more affordable each year.
According to Lee, future competitive advantage for businesses will hinge on three critical factors: being an early adopter of Agents, deploying the most intelligent Agents, and leveraging proprietary closed-loop data to train superior models. "You need to be early, fast, and have that closed-loop data," he emphasized.
This builds upon Lee's earlier comments at the November GOTC Global Open Source Technology Summit, where he suggested that traditional human-centric organizational structures will gradually be replaced by AI Agents. He forecasted that most company functions will eventually be handled by Agents, with humans taking on only the most complex strategic and coordinative roles.
