Kuaishou’s Cheng Yixiao: Confident that DAU Will Exceed 400 Million in A Single Quarter
Recently, at Kuaishou Technology’s 2024 Investor Day event, founder, chairman, and CEO Cheng Yixiao further clarified Kuaishou’s platform strategy of ‘technology as the foundation, user first’ in his speech.
Cheng Yixiao pointed out that Kuaishou is committed to becoming the company most obsessed with creating value for its customers globally, with user demand being the driving force behind the company’s continuous progress. Starting from a GIF tool, Kuaishou has developed into an online community that connects people with warmth and trust. The company continuously enriches platform scenarios, providing more possibilities for deep connections between people, content, and commerce. This year, Kuaishou has further clarified its user-oriented approach, optimizing content, products, and traffic systems under this guidance, achieving healthy high-quality growth through good content, good products, and a reasonable traffic mechanism.
Cheng Yixiao stated that regarding traffic strategy, Kuaishou will continue to focus on balancing the experiences of creators and users, on one hand enhancing the recommendation experience through AI-enabled content understanding to make good creators and good content more visible, and on the other hand achieving synergistic development of the commercial ecosystem and community ecosystem through mixed traffic arrangements and other methods.
The data shows that by the second quarter of 2024, Kuaishou’s average daily active users and average monthly active users reached 395 million and 692 million, respectively. Cheng Yixiao expressed confidence in achieving the target of over 400 million daily active users in a single quarter in the second half of the year.
