Leapmotor commenced delivery of its affordable Lafa 5 EV, starting under RMB 93,000, offering up to 605km range and available with LiDAR.
Chinese EV maker Leapmotor has announced the nationwide delivery of its new all-electric compact hatchback, the Lafa 5, starting December 19. The model is available in five variants, with limited-time pricing ranging from RMB 92,800 to RMB 116,800 (approx. USD 12,900 – 16,200).
Built on Leapmotor’s LEAP 3.5 architecture, the Lafa 5 features a 160kW motor, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, and offers CLTC ranges of 515 km and 605 km. Higher-end trims include LiDAR, enabling map-free urban navigation assist.
Inside, the vehicle is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8295P chip and integrates advanced AI voice assistants for an enhanced in-car intelligent experience.
