Ledao Auto has announced a nationwide plan to double the number of batteries in its swap stations, adding more than 8,000 new packs to meet soaring user demand.
On December 5, Ledao Auto unveiled a nationwide “battery doubling plan” for its swap-station network, committing to deploy more than8,000 brand-new battery packs across China. The rollout is expected to be completed by mid-January next year.
Once the expansion is finished, the number of Ledao batteries within China’s battery-swap network will exceed twice the current level, ensuring sufficient capacity for the surge in demand during the Spring Festival travel season and providing long-term, high-quality replenishment service as the user base rapidly grows. The deployment began in November, and over 800 batteries have already been delivered.
According to Shen Fei, Senior Vice President of NIO and President of Ledao Auto, user experience at swap stations remains one of the brand’s core priorities. The battery doubling plan is part of Ledao’s commitment to “worry-free energy replenishment,” reflected in three key areas:
Ledao L90 deliveries have exceeded 40,000 units, while L60 deliveries have surpassed 80,000, forming a rapidly expanding user base. The addition of over 8,000 new battery packs will significantly improve swap capacity for existing customers while preparing ample reserves for new users.
Winter energy replenishment remains a major challenge for EV users in northern China. This expansion allocates additional battery resources to northern regions, and Ledao will also introduce discounted battery-upgrade vouchers, enabling users to upgrade to the 85 kWh pack at a lower cost.
All 8,000+deployed batteries are brand-new,meaning users may enjoy unexpected benefits during swaps. For instance, an L60 owner who has driven the vehicle for over a year could receive a completely new battery during a swap.
