Lenovo Confirmed a Dec. 6 Release for Z5s
Early this morning, Lenovo VP Chang Cheng confirmed on China’s microblog platform Weibo that Lenovo‘s latest model Z5s will be officially released on Dec.6.
It’s believed that Lenovo Z5s will have a camera hole in the display, which is a feature shown in the teaser picture by Chang. The picture displays a golden “Z” with a shiny spot in the middle of the upper line against a black background, and says “Showing abilities to the full extent. See you on Dec. 6” in Chinese.
Interestingly, besides Lenovo, a few other smartphone brands are also competing to launch the first smartphone with an in-display selfie camera lens. Earlier, Huawei announced to launch Nova 4 on Dec. 17 while Samsung confirmed a Galaxy A8s launch on Dec. 10. But unlike Z5s, both Nova 4 and Galaxy A8s have the hole placed on the top-left corner.
According to the listing on Chinese certification portal TENAA, Lenovo’s new model, which is believed to be Z5s, comes with a battery with a capacity of 3210mAh and a 6.3-inch display with a resolution of FullHD+ with a dimension of 156.7×74.5×7.8 mm.
Based on the back photo on TENAA, Z5s is equipped with triple camera module and a fingerprint sensor at the rear. More specs will be unleashed on Dec 6.
