Lens Technology secures a 10,000-unit robot dog order from Dobot Robotics, marking a major leap into embodied AI manufacturing and signaling its ambition to lead in global intelligent robotics.
On November 6, Lens Technology announced that it has received an order from Dobot Robotics for the assembly of 10,000 quadruped robot dogs, marking a major step in its expansion into intelligent robotics manufacturing. The collaboration centers on Rover X1, the world's first household embodied AI robot, priced at RMB 7,499 (approx. USD 1,030). On its launch day, more than 5,000 vouchers were claimed across multiple channels, covering both enterprise and consumer applications.
Under the agreement, Lens Technology will not only handle full assembly but also serve as a key component supplier for Dobot, covering joint motors, structural parts, and core component R&D, production, and supply—forming an integrated "R&D–Manufacturing–Supply" chain. The two companies have also signed a strategic cooperation agreement, with Lens planning to deploy 1,000 Dobot embodied robots on its own production lines in 2025 to enhance automation and flexibility.
Since 2016, Lens Technology has been deeply engaged in robotics, building a vertically integrated platform that spans from core components to full-machine assembly. Its capabilities include liquid metal materials, six-axis force sensors, head modules, joint modules, and dexterous hands, positioning it as a leading domestic manufacturer of embodied intelligence hardware.
Dobot Robotics is the first company worldwide to offer humanoid, wheeled, quadruped, and robotic-arm models under one platform. Its products serve industrial, medical, and educational markets, with over 100,000 units shipped to more than 100 countries and regions, reinforcing its leadership in human–machine collaboration.
Lens Technology Chairperson Zhou Qunfei said the company has entered the supply chains of major robotics firms in both China and North America and expects to deliver over 10,000 quadruped robots and 3,000 humanoid robots in 2025. The company is accelerating its expansion into AI-edge hardware, aiming to become a global leader in embodied intelligence manufacturing.
As of November 6, Lens Technology's stock price rose 9.6%, bringing its market capitalization to approximately RMB 165 billion (USD 22.7 billion). Source:Sina Finance
