Li Auto’s L9 SUV to Start Delivery Soon
Chinese EV maker Li Auto announced on August 18 that the Li L9, an intelligent flagship SUV, has officially rolled off the production line at the firm’s Changzhou Base, and will be delivered across the country soon.
Li Auto said that it will work closely with parts suppliers to ensure the smooth mass production of the Li L9, and that it will realize the delivery of more than 10,000 Li L9s in September.
According to Li Auto‘s data, since its release on June 21, the cumulative booking volume for the Li L9 has exceeded 50,000 units, among which the number of confirmed orders has exceeded 30,000.
Li L9, with a price of 459,800 yuan ($67,659), is equipped with a 1.5T four-cylinder range extender and a 44.5 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, which can achieve a 215 km pure electric battery life and a 1,315 km comprehensive battery life (under CLTC conditions).
In addition, the Li L9 adopts an intelligent four-wheel drive system, with maximum power of the front drive motor reaching 130kW and maximum power of the rear drive motor reaching 200kW. The torque is 620 N • m, and the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is 5.3 seconds.
Li Auto has also upgraded its Changzhou Base, introducing more advanced production technology and more stringent testing processes. As of August 1, a total of 200,000 Li ONE vehicles have rolled off the production line, with sales exceeding 50 billion yuan. It is estimated that by the end of 2025, the Changzhou Base will achieve the production target of one million vehicles every year, with an estimated output value exceeding 500 billion yuan.

In recent years, Changzhou has gathered more than 3,400 enterprises covering the production of vehicle, positive and negative materials of power batteries, separators, battery management systems, and batteries. It is one of the regions with the longest automotive chain in the Yangtze River Delta. In the first half of this year, the output value of Changzhou’s new energy vehicle industry exceeded 110 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of more than 30%, while the production and sales volume of new energy vehicles exceeded 118,000 units, ranking first in Jiangsu Province.
