LimX Dynamics has unveiled a new modular embodied robot designed to handle everything from precise manipulation to complex terrain mobility.
On December 18, 2025, LimX Dynamics officially introduced TRON 2, a new multi-form embodied robot, with a starting price of $7,000. Pre-orders are now open on the company’s official website.
TRON 2 features a fully modular, whole-body architecture that allows a single base unit to rapidly switch between three core configurations: dual-arm, bipedal, and dual-wheel-leg modes. It also supports further reconfiguration into humanoid and quadruped forms, enabling it to adapt to a wide range of tasks—from fine manipulation to navigation across complex terrain.

The robot’s embodied dual-arm system delivers strong performance. Each arm has 7 degrees of freedom with a human-like structure, offering fast and stable joint response. A 70 cm reach provides a large operational workspace, while anthropomorphic spherical wrists enable high-precision manipulation in confined spaces. The dual arms can handle loads of up to 10 kg, and the robot supports a maximum payload of 60 kg, meeting industrial pick-and-place and material handling requirements.

TRON 2 supports fully open APIs and standardized hardware interfaces, allowing easy integration of multimodal perception modules such as voice and vision. It is compatible with leading VLA foundation models, including Pi 0.5 and ACT, and supports more than 10 common household tasks such as food preparation and tabletop cleaning. LimX also provides comprehensive datasets and deployment examples for algorithms.

In terms of mobility, the bipedal configuration enhances motion control and obstacle avoidance, enabling the robot to detect and climb stairs. With up to 4 hours of battery life and a 30 kg maximum payload, TRON 2 offers ample capacity for external equipment and accessories.

Additionally, TRON 2 comes with complete secondary development documentation. Users can get started in 30 minutes and complete the full workflow—from environment setup to real-world deployment—within two hours. Its native data collection and management platform is designed to further accelerate research and development.
